Yeast Intolerance Diagnosis

How Can I Determine if I Have a Yeast Intolerance?

Tests can be carried out to determine if there is an infection in the blood or within or on other parts of the body of yeast. Yeast is everywhere, but it is not the presence of yeast that is the problem. It is the proliferation of yeast that causes symptoms. Intolerance to yeast manifests when the normal gut flora is upset to the point of permitting opportunistic yeast to flourish. It is best to consider a yeast overgrowth condition or yeast infection as the underlying cause of yeast related symptoms.

Elimination from the diet of foods and beverages known to contain yeast, along with elimination of refined sugars that feed the yeast, may bring about relief from yeast overgrowth. Some infections caused by yeast can be life-threatening in individuals with an already compromised immune system.
